CATL and its subsidiaries and Stellantis subsidiaries and other four parties signed a joint venture agreement on December 10, 2024. CATL and Stellantis plan to jointly invest in a joint venture in Spain, with each party holding 50% of the shares, and use the joint venture as the main body to build a joint venture battery factory in Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain. The total investment scale of the battery factory is expected to be 4.038 billion euros.

All new or updated taxis and online ride-hailing vehicles connected to the platform in the Pearl River Delta region use new energy vehicles. The proportion of new energy vehicles and energy-saving vehicles in the newly added and updated official vehicles each year shall not be less than 60%, of which the proportion of new energy vehicles shall not be less than 30% in principle.
Official car rentals are encouraged to use new energy vehicles. The proportion of new or updated urban logistics distribution, light postal express, and light sanitation vehicles in cities above the prefecture level using new energy vehicles has reached more than 80%. Measures such as demarcating restricted areas will be adopted to promote the elimination of diesel trucks that meet the National III emission standards.
