What is sintered wire?
Date: Nov 07, 2023
Sintering line refers to a common production equipment in metallurgy, mining and other industries. It is used to convert powdery or granular raw materials into block materials through the sintering process for further processing and utilization. Sintering lines play a vital role in modern industry, especially in the field of steel production.

The sintering process is a process in which fine granular raw materials (such as iron ore, coke, limestone, etc.) are heated to high temperatures to combine the particles with each other to form a massive solid. This process aims to improve the properties of raw materials and improve their utilization in smelting equipment such as blast furnaces.

A typical sintering line usually includes the following main parts:

Raw material processing system: This part includes the pretreatment of raw materials, including crushing, grinding and other processes. After this treatment, the raw materials can better participate in the subsequent sintering process.

Sintering machine: The sintering machine is the core equipment of the sintering line. It combines raw material particles into blocks through high temperature. There are many types of sintering machines, the common ones include hot air sintering machines and ribbon sintering machines.

Cooling system: The sintered block materials usually need to be cooled for better subsequent processing. The cooling system can adopt different methods such as air cooling and water cooling.

Sinter screening system: The sintered lump materials may contain certain powder particles, which require a screening process to separate the powder from the lump materials to ensure the quality of the product.

Conveying system: Each part in the sintering line needs to be connected to each other through conveying equipment to transfer raw materials, finished products and other materials between different parts.

Whether the operation of the sintering line is stable or not is directly related to the efficiency and quality of the entire smelting production. Therefore, the design, selection, operation and maintenance of sintering lines are all very important tasks.

The difference between sintered wire and enameled wire:
Sintered wire is a wire made of multiple strands of fine copper wires, which are then sintered at high temperature to form a whole.
Enameled wire is an insulating material with copper or aluminum as a conductor.
In comparison, sintered wire is more suitable for electrical equipment in high temperature and high frequency environments, while enameled wire is more suitable for electrical components with higher insulation.
